Wednesday morning

2.5 mi - 31 min - 4.8 mph

58 degrees(!) and sunny. Beautiful.

I lazed around this morning, trying to decide if I was going out today. I still have a bit of a sore throat, and I didn't want to stress my body if it meant staying ill longer. I finally did go out, and did OK. It seems like my muscles are getting used to this jogging motion - I jogged for most of the first mile without much of a problem. The last mile, though, is still tough, but not from a muscle standpoint. I just get tired.

  1. I am so proud of you for hanging in there! I will run with you in spirit....NOT!!...not even in spirit, but I am sending good thoughts your way, brother!

  2. Thanks, Kathie. And I understand about not wanting to join in. It's just like I was at your early morning prayer meeting - not. But as little as I feel like doing this in the morning, I feel even less like doing it after work, so 6:30am it is.

  3. I totally understand wanting to do it first thing in the morning, getting it out of the way so that the rest of your day free of that hardship! That's the way I operate; I like to do the hard work first and then have it done and not hanging over my head anymore.

    Great job, PJ!!!

  4. Except, hon, "first thing in the morning" for you and for me are a little different. My 6:30 is your, what, 10:30?

I'm just jealous, of course, since I love to stay up late. Even when I'm ill and desperately need to sleep, I was up until 11 last night (and up at 6).

Here's an interesting thought: Suppose you stacked up all of the exercise that you do in a day into one session and started at 6:30 am. Now suppose that I started at your "early-morning" time and exercised for my ~45 minutes (ignoring the time zone differences). You'd probably still be exercising by the time I finished. An amazing thought.

  5. That is too much math for me! Sadly, it is also too much exercise for me.

Peaj, this page seems huge!! And you took away the wacky words!

  6. We'll try without the words for a bit, see what happens. I didn't like the way the whole page changed when you went to add a comment.

  7. Well, yes, I suppose that is true...

Although, I am waking up even earlier tomorrow--a sacrifice in order to go to a water park nearby. Hopefully it will be well worth it!
